William C. "Bill " Kane age 79 of Hobart, formerly of Griffith, passed away on Saturday December 20, 2014.

He is survived by his children: Laura (Eric) Blassberg, Lee Ann Million, William C. (Debbie) Kane Jr. and Robert (Valerie Jordan) Kane. He is also survived by his 7 Grandchildren, 2 Great Grandchildren, and brothers Richard Kane and James (Marcie) Kane.

William was preceded in death by his parents William and Leona Kane and by his companion Pat Gatlin.

Funeral services will be private with Pastor David Banning officiating.

Friends may meet with the family on Monday December 22, 2014 from 2-6:00pm at White Funeral Home located at 921 W. 45 ^th Ave. in Griffith. The Highland Elks Lodge will hold their memorial service at 5:30pm on Monday.

Bill was the founder of Kane Electric and he was a member of the Highland Elks Lodge #981. Bill was also a former pilot with American Airlines. He was an avid golfer and huge Notre Dame fan.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Wheeler United Methodist Church or to the Highland Elks Lodge #981
