William R. Broderick, age 53, of Griffith, passed away on Sunday, February 12th, 2012.

He is survived by his son: Patrick Broderick of Chicago, IL. and daughter: Lindsey Broderick of Arlington Heights, IL;

He is also survived by his sisters: Patricia (Joseph) Kraly, of Whiting, IL.; and Kathleen (Bill) Dudley, of Hot Springs, AR.; uncle: Leroy Sparks, of Ft. Lauderdale, FL. nieces: Christine ( nee Luthra) Kraly and Marie (nee Bates) Kraly nephews: Steve Schroeder and Shaun Schroeder. Fiancé Shirley Rodriguez, of Highland.

He is preceded in death by his parents; William and Julia Marie Broderick

Funeral services will be held on Saturday February 18th, 2012 at 10:00am

Directly at St. Mary Catholic Church located at 525 North Broad Street Griffith, IN. with Father Theodore Mens celebrating. Burial will follow at Ridgelawn Cemetery in Gary, IN .

Friends may meet with family on Friday, February 17th, 2012, at 2:00pm until 8:00pm at White Funeral Home , located at 921 W. 45th Ave. Griffith, IN. Prayer service Friday at 7:30pm with Father Mens officiating.

Bill was the Clerk Treasurer of the Town of Griffith, and he was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church. He was one of the original founders of St. Mary Tuesday Night Bingo, a member of the Pastoral Council, a Eucharistic Minister, a member of Christ Renews his Parrish Formation Team, the St Mary Western Days Committee, and the St. Mary Men's Club. Bill was a very handy "MacGyver" with a great sense of humor, and quick wittedness. To know him was to love him. In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to St. Mary Catholic Church, of Griffith.
