Virgil Sarbon, age 80 of Highland, formerly of Griffith passed away on Saturday, October 11, 2014.

He is survived by his wife of 57 years Ann, daughters: Dawn Broelmann of Griffith, Rebecca (David) Tedesco of Highland, grandchildren: Dakota and Luke, Gabriella and Samantha, brother: Joseph (Jenny) Parvo of Highland.

Preceded in death by his parents: Victor and Johanna (Breslin) Sarbon, sisters: Sylvia Wisdom, JoAnn Boardman, Mary Bednarsky, Elenna Houser and by his brothers: John and Victor Sarbon.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 16, 2014 at 11:00 AM at White Funeral Home, 921 W. 45 ^th Avenue, Griffith with Rev Shawn Cornett officiating.  Cremation will follow services.

Friends may meet with the family on Wednesday, October 15, 2014 from 3 – 8PM at White Funeral Home.

Virgil was a loving husband, father, and PAPA. He was an Army Veteran and  a member of American Legion Post 66 in Griffith.  He was a member of First Christian Church of Griffith. He was retired from Ozinga Ready Mix. Virgil loved to golf, work in his garden, and he was an avid Philly fan!!! He was the creator of the original "Steak Nite".
