Thomas J Pizano Sr.

Thomas J. Pizano Sr., age 75, of Hammond, passed away on Tuesday, September 15, 2026.

Thomas is survived by his children, Thomas (Matilda) Pizano Jr., Roseann (Brian) Casillas, Mechelle Rogers, Melanie Willens, Robert Wigsmoen, and Ana Wigsmoen; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brothers, John (Debbie) Pizano and Louis (Fran) Pizano; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Juan and Balentina Pizano; and siblings, Gilbert, Esther Krawczyk, Alice Wigsmoen, and Robert Pizano.

Thomas was formerly employed at Wisconsin Steel. He was a member of the East Side Lions Club and Knights of Columbus. Thomas was also in the ROTC, he loved playing the guitar, dancing, singing, playing his harmonica, karaoke, and listening to The Temptations and drawing.

Family and friends may meet with the family on Sunday, September 20, 2026, at White Funeral Home & Cremation Services (921 W. Glen Park Ave. Griffith, IN) from 2:00 PM- 8:00 PM. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m., with Jonathan Stephens officiating. Burial will take place at a later date at Ridgelawn Cemetery in Gary, Indiana.
