Theresa M Acevez age 61 of Gary passed away on Friday August 9, 2013

She is survived by her husband, Pedro Romo; children: Maria (Jody) Riley, Andres "Danny", Melissa, Michael, Robert; step children: Guadalupe, Alfredo, Pedro, Manuel, and Josephine; grandchildren: Alex, Jody Jr., Maxx, Makayla, Miguel, and Angel; great granddaughter: Alice; sister: Guadalupe (Jesse) Mendoza; brothers: Louie (Rosa) Acevez, and Nativad (Mina) Acevez; and by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Mary and Guadalupe; sisters: Theresa, Lucy, and Susie.

Friends may meet with the family on Thursday, August 15th from 3:00pm-7:00pm at White Funeral Home located at 921 W. 45 ^th Ave. in Griffith IN. with a Rosary service beginning at 5:00pm. Cremation will follow.

Theresa played the role of "Mom" to everyone she met. She was an avid cat lover, and was employed at McDonalds in Highland and Hessville.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the family.
