TERESA M. KOLAR HIGHLAND, IN Teresa M. Kolar, age 82, of Highland, passed away peacefully Sunday, October 10, 2010. She is survived by her children: Lena (Bernie) Grzybowski, Jr. of Schererville, Marko (Nancy) Kolar of Cherry Valley, IL and Mike Kolar of Highland; grandchildren: Marsha (Corrie) Houchin, Jeffery (Amanda) Grzybowski, Nick Kolar and Kristin Kolar; great grandchildren: Olivia, Hunter and Gavin Houchin; two brothers and two sisters, and numerous nieces and nephews all of Italy. Preceded in death by her parents: Mariano and Angelina Riccio; husband, Milan; sister, Catherina; and brother, Pasquele. Funeral services will be held Thursday, October 14, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at the St. James Catholic Church in Highland with Fr. Keith Virus celebrating. Burial will follow at St. John/ St. Joseph Cemetery. Friends may meet with the family on Wednesday, October 13, 2010 from 3:00-8:00 p.m. at White Funeral Home , 921 W. 45th Ave., Griffith, IN. Teresa was a member of St. James Catholic Church and an active member of The Italian American Women's Club. She was a former longtime cook at Ralph's Pizzeria in East Chicago. Teresa loved to cook and feed everyone. She was an avid gardener and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and close group of Italian American friends. Teresa was born in Italy and immigrated to the United States in 1953. Memorials may be given to St. James Catholic Church in Highland.
