Teddy "Ted" Elmore, age 83 of Hammond passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 20, 2015.

He is survived by his sons: Terry (Chris) Elmore and Tracy Elmore.

Grandchildren: Erica (Wallace) Dye and Tony Elmore.

Caregiver and best friend: Sharon and Chuck Coon.

Preceded in death by his mother: Frances (Bill) Turner, father: Garland Elmore, and brother: Jack Elmore.

Ted was employed at General American (GATX) as a welder until his retirement.

He belonged to the American Legion Post 232 and served in the Korean Conflict.  Ted also belonged to the Fraternal Order of Eagles Erie 3117 in Hammond, IN.

Per Ted's request burial will be private.
