SUSIE B. DYER (NEE ROBBINS) GRIFFITH, IN Susie B. Dyer (nee Robbins), age 80 of Griffith, IN, passed away February 20, 2011. After a courageous battle with cancer, Susie passed away peacefully at the Hospice of the Calumet Area with her husband of 63 years, W.C. at her side. She is survived by her daughter, Lou Ann (Brian) Kronland of Griffith, IN; daughter-in-law, Esther Marie (Danko) Dyer of Roselawn, IN; brother, Steve Robbins of Griffith, IN and fiance, Gail Williams of Hammond, IN; five grandsons: Jason (Rebecca Stein) Dyer of Phoenix, AZ, Jeffrey (Melissa Duncan) Dyer of Lake Village, IN, Justin Dyer and Lindsey Maxwell of Glendale, AZ, Christopher Kronland of Griffith, IN and Michael Kronland of Griffith, IN; four great grandchildren: Dakota and Kaylynn Dyer of Lake Village, IN and Shelby and James Dyer of Phoenix, AZ; special niece, Deborah (Rice) Linde of Dyersburg, TN; and many more nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her son, Jimmie Dale Dyer; parents: Fonzie and Clarice (Childress) Robbins; brothers: Ray Robbins and Rex Robbins; and sister, Dardis Rice. Susie was a retired employee of General American Transportation Corp. (GATX) and Inland Steel Co. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, February 23, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at White Funeral Home , 921 W. 45th Avenue, Griffith, IN 46319 with Pastor Jim Goettel officiating. Burial at Chapel Lawn Cemetery, Schererville, IN.
