Sondra D. Ricks, age 75 of Crown point IN, formerly of Griffith IN, passed away on Monday, April 14, 2014.

She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Chuck; her children: Kathie (Doug) Price, Steven (Beth) Ricks, and Nancy (Michael) Villars;7 grandchildren: Joshua (Holly) Price, Amber Price, Aaron (Emily Publicover) Ricks, Chelsea Ricks, Elliott Ricks, Jennifer Villars, and Jayson Villars; 5 great grandchildren; Jack Shelhart, Camryn Shelhart, Maddox Price, Sullivan Price, Aidan O'Keefe-Price. ; brother: Charles "Bud' (Marilyn) Bowman, and sister: Jeanene (Paul) Leahmann;

Sondra was preceded in death by her parents, grandson: Cameron, and sister: Barbara Mahoney.

Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, April 17 ^th, 2014 at 10:00am at White Funeral Home with Paul Leahmann Officiating. Cremation will follow Wednesday April 16 ^th , 2014.

Friends may meet with the family on Wednesday April 16 ^th , 2014 at White Funeral Home located at 921 W. 45 ^th Ave. in Griffith.

Sondra was the coach for the Griffith Pantherettes in 1964. A girl scout leader, and belonged to Junior Womens Club. She was an original member of Park-Full of art, along with organizing the Heritage Walk- Griffith Central Park. She was a substitute teacher for Lake Ridge Schools for 28 years, a Paton teacher, Baton twirling teacher & competition Judge. Also the co-owner of Leather Unlimited.
