Sherry Lynn (nee Barker) Vidal age 64 of Dyer passed away suddenly on Tuesday March 1, 2016 in Florida. Sherry was born to Harold and Dolores Barker on January 7, 1952. She attended Lansing Illinois schools and all of her working career was at the Lansing Post Office. Sherry retired after 37 years at the Post Office in 2007. After retirement, she and Al spent their winters in Northport, Florida. Sherry is survived by her husband of 32 years Alfonso Vidal; sons Albert Jr., Robert, and Sean (Lisa) Vidal; grandson Levi; mother Dolores Barker and numerous loving family members. Sherry was preceded in death by her brother Harold "Hal" Barker Jr. and by her father Harold Barker Sr.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday March 9, 2016 at 10:00am at White Funeral Home located at 921 W. 45 ^th Ave in Griffith with officiating. Cremation will follow the services. Friends may meet with the family on Tuesday March 8, 2016 from 2-8:00pm at White Funeral Home .

Sherry and Al owned and ran the Boat Clinic in Lynwood for 15 years. Sherry had many loving family members and friends. Some of her favorite activities were at the Indiana Harbor Yacht Club and at Harbor Isles in Northport, Florida and everyone will always remember her pool parties.

Her family wishes that in lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the American Heart Assoc.
