Shanon L. Mathis age 52 of Griffith passed away on Saturday October 3rd, 2020.

He is  survived by his wife of 32 years Kristina, daughter Holly (Jason) Gargas, grandsons Colton and Zane Lee, parents Dwaine and Melody Mathis, brother Chad (Jill Hollar) Mathis, nieces Alexus Mathisand Laura Stepanovich, nephews Jaxon Mathis and Matthew Stepanovich, grandmother Elizabeth McKay, mother-in law Diane (Don) Wirick, brother-in law Marko (Alice) Stepanovich, best friends Nady Boutros and Christopher Lopez, and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Preceded in death by his grandfather Jack McKay, grandparents JD and Betty Mathis, and mother and father-in law Theodore and Jane Stepanovich.

Funeral services will be held on Friday October 9th, 2020 at 7:00 PM at WHITE FUNERAL HOME located at 921 W. Glen Park Ave. (45th Ave) Griffith with Pastor Brian Shaver officiating. Cremation to follow the service.

Friends may meet with the family on Friday October 9th, 2020 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at WHITE FUNERAL HOME.

Shanon was employed by Blythes Sportshop in Griffith. Shanon enjoyed spending his time with his friends hunting and fishing. One of Shanon's greatest accomplishments was being a grandpa and spending time with his family and friends. He will be missed by all those who knew and loved him.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to the family.
