Preceded in death by his parents Allen and Louise Shaffer, wife Dolores, brother Robert and by his infant sister.

Funeral Services will be on Wednesday September 15, 2010 at 10:00 am at White Funeral Home located at 921 W. 45 ^th Ave. in Griffith

With Pastor Dan Kuiper officiating

Burial will follow at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens in Schererville

Friends may meet with the family on Tuesday September 14 ^th from 3:00pm-8:00p

Russell was retired from the Union Carbide after 38 years.

He was a member of Griffith VFW, and was an Army Veteran (Korean War)

Former owner of race cars and a avid Illiana Speedway Race fan.

Russell was also an avid Genealogist and he enjoyed walking, watching his grandchildren play sports and activities.

A very hard working man, loving husband, Father, Grandfather & great grandfather and who will be greatly missed.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to William J. Riley Hospice Residence
