Ruby J. Malone age 80 of Hammond, IN passed away on Friday January 31, 2020 surrounded by her loved ones.

She is survived by her loving husband of 54 years; Everett Malone, children; Timothy (Betty) Hutchison, Theresa (Joseph) Cote, Lisa (Mike) Shabaz, Craig (Bonnie) Malone, Jeannie (Bob) Murray, Sherry (Barry) Parr , Terry (Carrie) Malone and  numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren;  brothers; Sam Rhoten, Fred (Roberta) Rhoten, David (Betty) Rhoten and many nieces and nephews.

Ruby was preceded in death by her son; Mark Malone, sisters; Dorothy Murphy, Bertie Pennington, and brother; Ed June Rhoten.

Ruby was a very compassionate, encouraging and loving woman. She overcame many obstacles in her life, such as breast cancer, a severe car accident and the sudden loss of her son Mark. She always knew that God would pull her through the rough times and he did. She was a people person and loved to talk, laugh and hug. She loved her husband and kids deeply and adored her grandchildren. She touched the lives of many people, so to know her was to love her.

Friends may meet with the family on Friday February 7, 2020 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at WHITE FUNERAL HOME located at 921 W. 45th Griffith, IN. Funeral services will follow at     12:00 PM, with Pastor Shawn Cornett officiating. Burial will follow at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens in Schererville.
