Rose M. McDermott, age 78, of Griffith (formerly of DeMotte), passed away on Tuesday, October 24, 2023, surrounded by her loving family. She is survived by her children: Heather (David) Tokarz and Steve (Jennie Eslinger) McDermott; grandchildren: Michael, Allie (David), Hannah (Trey), Kylie, Steven Jr.; sister Ruth Oprisko; several nieces and nephews; son-in-law Robert Tzitz; and four-legged companion Daisy. She was preceded in death by her parents Thomas and Patricia; husband Charles; and daughter Kathryn Tzitz.

Funeral Services will be held on Monday October 30, 2023, at 10:30 AM at St. Cecilia Catholic Church, located at 334 15th St. SW DeMotte, Indiana 46310, with Father Michael McKinney celebrating. Burial will follow at DeMotte Cemetery in DeMotte, Indiana.

Friends may meet with the family on Sunday, October 29, 2023, from 2:00 PM until 6:00 PM at White Funeral Home, located at 921 W. Glen Park (45th) Ave. Griffith, Indiana 46319. There will be an afternoon Vigil Service on Sunday at 2:00 PM.

Rose was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, active in Eucharistic Ministry, Altar Rosary Society, and the Garden Club. Her hobby was her grandchildren.
