Robert Ronald Urban age 86 of Highland passed away on Monday December 27th, 2021.

He is survived by his daughters Linda (late James) Barlog, Karen Maruszczak, Sandy Judd, grandchildren Amanda (Eric) Sarkady, Jennifer Maruszczak, Jaime Verville, Samantha (Josh) Roa, Aimee Maruszczak, Makayla Mueller, great-grandchildren Finnley and Sullivan Roa, Nolan and Aria Sarkady, Jazlene Escobedo, Brielle Maruszczak, Kyle and Karter Josway, and Gabriella Maruszczak, and sister Andrea (Brett) Robenhorst

Robert was preceded in death by his parents Matt and Sophie Urban, wife Elvira, daughter Sherri Verville, and grandson Shawn Judd.

Cremation was chosen and the family will hold a private celebration of life at a later date.

Robert was an Army Veteran, he served in clean-up missions located in Germany following WWII. Robert was an avid bowler, golfer, enjoyed fishing, and loved going to the casinos. He was a bartender at Mr. Joe's Bar located in Hammond. Robert had a deep work ethic, working for Lever Brothers in Hammond for 25 years and then the Hammond Water Department for 15 years. Robert stayed very active up until his last days.  He was a well known and liked man by many in Hammond.

Robert will be missed dearly by all those who knew and loved him.
