Robert "Bobby" Alexander Gillam age 18 of Griffith, passed away unexpectedly on Monday July 28, 2014.

Bobby is survived by his mother Tracy Mecko and sister Melissa "Libby" Connelly, father Robert Gillam and half siblings Vanessa, Tyler, Emma and Lincoln.

He is also survived by his Aunt Serena (Mark) Dragotta, Aunt Kimmie Gillam. Cousins Steven, Marky, Nico and many other family, friends and loved ones.

He was preceded in death by his grandmother Karen Gillam who is now taking care of him in heaven.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, August 5 ^th at 10:00 at St. Mary Catholic Church located at 525 N. Broad Street, Griffith.

With Fr. Theodore Mens officiating

Cremation will follow the services.

Friends may meet with the family on Monday, August 4 ^th from 4:00pm-8:00pm at White Funeral Home located at 921 W. 45 ^th Avenue in Griffith.

Bobby was a nurturer and had a love for all animals but a very special relationship with his dogs, China, Luna, Spikey and Peanut. Bobby excelled in welding at the Hammond Career Center and he loved to build things. He was employed recently by Home Depot.

In lieu of flowers, Bobby would have wanted people to have plants that they can keep to remember him by or donations can be made to his mother to assist with expenses.
