Rick A. Harms age 57 of Portage formerly of Calumet Township passed away on Friday, September 29 2017. He is survived by his Sisters Cheryl (Don) Hamilton and Patti (Kip) Spencer; ten nieces and nephews, and by his numerous great nieces and great nephews.

Rick is preceded in death by his Parents Robert and Margaret Harms and by his brother Jack .

Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday October 3, 2017 at 10:00am at WHITE FUNERAL HOME located at 921 W. 45th Avenue in Griffith with Fr. Theodore Mens officiating. Burial will follow at Calumet Park Cemetery in Merrillville.

Friends may meet with the family on Monday October 2, 2017 from 3:00pm-8:00pm at White Funeral Home.

Rick was a past employee of Arc Bridges. He was a member of Opportunity Enterprises and Camp Sharing Meadows.  Rick was an avid Cubs fan. He liked doing latch hook, collecting baseball cards and bobble heads, watching old monster movies, listening to Mo-town music, and attending sporting events.
