Richard L. Roye age 74 of Griffith passed away on Monday December 19, 2016.

He is survived by his wife of 51 years: Pat;

Children Brian (Chris) Roye, Christine (Jeff) Benko and Tricia (Joe) Pedraza;

Grandchildren Abby, Lilly, and Luke Stoddard, Ella Roye, and Collin Pedraza;

Brother Butch (Sherri) Roye; sisters Shirley (Bill) Bangs, Donna (Bob) Toren and by his numerous nieces and nephews.

Richard was preceded in death by his parents James and Irene Roye

Friends may meet with the family on Friday December 23, 2016 from 2-8:00 pm at White Funeral Home located at 921 W. 45th Avenue Griffith

Richard was retired from Rescoe Products in Hammond.  He was a former softball coach in Griffith (Shockers Traveling Team).  Rich was also a Griffith High School football and basketball fan.  He was  a huge fan of auctions along with his brother and he loved being "Papa" to his grandchildren.
