Richard C. "Rick" Gragido age 59 of Valparaiso formerly of Griffith and Crown Point passed away on Sunday October 16, 2016.

He is survived by his wife of 40 years: Lu; children: Ricky (Martha) Gragido, Jeff (Jennifer) Gragido, Dan (Melissa) Gragido; grandchildren: Bailey and Cody, Eli, Braden,  Addison and Gavin, Garrett and Jeremy, Jesse; great-grandson: Zander

Parents: Richard and Patricia Gragido; siblings: Gerri (John) Miles, Becky (Tom) Darnell, Ken (Donna)Gragido, Kristy (Joe) Demeter, Brett (Sarah) Gragido; brother-in-law: Sonny York; mother-in-law: Roberta Loomis.

Preceded  in death by his sister Beth York.

Funeral services will be held on Friday October 21, 2016 at 7:00 pm at White Funeral Home located at 921 W. 45th Avenue Griffith.

Cremation will follow.

Friends may meet with the family on Friday October 21, 2016 from 3-7:00 pm at White Funeral Home.

Rick graduated from Griffith High School Class of 1976.  He was a self employed carpenter, formerly working at P& L Builders.  Rick enjoyed bowling, boating, and working on cars.
