Richard T. "Dick" Carr age 79 of Griffith , formerly of Chicago East Side & Las Vegas, passed away on Saturday September 4, 2010.

The Quiet Man, He fought the fight.

Rich was born to Harry and Marie (nee Steinken) Carr on May 26, 1931.

He leaves to mourn him, his wife Sandy (nee Neitzel), daughter Dina (Charles) Stipes, grandsons Chaz and Adam (Who aided him during his last years), and Maxx and Jake Bruno.

He also leaves to mourn him his sisters-in-law Lorry (late Don) Lattner and Arlene (late Harold) Lattner, niece Brigid (Allen) Berger, nephews Michael (Kim) Lattner, Rick ( Lynn ) Lionhood, and Bill (Noreen) Lionhood.

Preceded in death by his parents, daughter Lori Ann, brothers Harry and Ronnie, and by his sister Margie.

Rich had many interests, such as reading, chess, pinochle, bowling, building models of many kinds, and working crossword puzzles.

He was a loving husband of 52 years, and a wonderful father to his daughters and all of the kids in the neighborhood. We shall miss him dearly.

Services will be private.
