Phyllis J. Starkey (nee Slemin) age 67 of Hammond, passed away on Monday July 9, 2018.

She is survived by her daughter Ann Marie (Michael) Harris; grandson Brandon Harris; sister Mary Lou (Kenneth) Furgye; brothers Herbert (Alice) Slemin and Jack Slemin; sister-in-law Barbara Slemin, and by her  nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents Martha and Bob Slemin, husband Ronald Starkey, and by her brothers Dennis and Bobby Jr. Slemin.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday July 12th at 2:00 pm at White Funeral Home located at 921 W. 45th Avenue Griffith with Pastors Bob Parnell and Steve Martinez officiating. Burial will follow at Memory Lane Cemetery in Schererville.

Friends may meet with the family on Thursday July 12th from 12 Noon to 2:00 pm at White Funeral Home.

Phyllis was a member of Black Oak Baptist Church. She loved being a grandma and her working on her craft work.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the family.
