Norma J. Hyde nee Lukmann age 87 of Dyer, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Saturday, October 31, 2015. Norma is survived by her dedicated daughter Alison (Bill) Haggerty. Special granddaughter Deborah and grandson David. Loving sister Marilyn Fouts; sister-in-law Elderene Lukmann; 3 nephews Charles Lukmann, Robert and Ronald Fouts; 5 nieces Joni, Janie Fouts, Beverly (Ronald) Gibbs, Lynn and Beth Lukmann, and by many grandnieces and grandnephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Russell Hyde, parents Lester and Mary Lukmann, brother Lester "Bud" Lukmann, her sister Joyce Ann Lukmann, grandnephew Robert Fouts,   and grandniece Heather Marie Fouts Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 6, 2015 at 9:30am at White Funeral Home and Mass will be at 10:00am at St. James the Less Catholic Church in Highland with Father Keith Virus celebrating. Burial will be at Grandview Memorial Gardens in Champaign, Illinois. Friends may meet with the family on Thursday, November 5, from 5:00pm-8:00pm at White Funeral Home located at 921 W. 45th Avenue Griffith. There will be an evening wake service at 6pm on Thursday. Norma graduated from Griffith High School and attended Calumet College in Hammond. She was a faithful employee of US Reduction in East Chicago and Solomon Brothers in Chicago.
