Nellie D. Sims age 85 of Portage passed away on Sunday, June 29, 2014.

She is survived by her children: Robert (Cindy) Sims, Patricia Graeber, Lori (Larry) Rhodes, Donna (Terrell) Howell, Russell (Cheryl) Sims, Timothy (Jane) Sims, Tracy (Toni) Sims, JoAnn Sims, and Melinda (Milton) Pitts.

Numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Sister: Mary Sumners

Preceded in death by her parents Reath and Pinky Smith, husband Leroy, grandson Kenny Trujillo, and son-in-law Richard Graeber.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 3 at 10:00 am at Central Church of God located at 5120 Central Avenue, Portage, Indiana

With Pastor Jerry Martin officiating.

Burial will follow at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens in Schererville, IN

Friends may meet with the family on Wednesday, July 2 from 2:00pm-8:00pm at Central Church of God in Portage.

Nellie was a member of the Central Church of God in Portage. She enjoyed playing the piano and writing songs.
