Melody Kay Nelson, age 69, of Griffith passed away on Sunday, November 13, 2022.  She is survived by her husband of 27 years, James; her sons: Jeffrey and Kevin Smith; and her brothers: Jimmy, Ed, and John Leroy.

She was preceded in death by her parents: Ed and Rita Hutson.

Services will be private.

Melody was a member of the American Legion Post 66 Ladies Auxiliary.  She loved gardening.
