Max E. Pierce age 70 of Griffith, passed away on Monday January 9, 2017.

He is survived by his wife of 36 years: Betty; son Charlie (Dusty) Marquand; daughters Donna J. Marquand, Christina Lynn Patrick; step daughters Debbie and Tina; grandchildren Marcus, Alex, Stephanie, Chloe, Hunter, Waylon and Briann; siblings Merrill Pierce, David (Sandra) Pierce, Calvin Pierce, Paul Pierce and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Max was preceded in death by his parents Russell and Jeanette Pierce; sisters Sandra Tomislon and Kathy Pierce and by his brother Dale Pierce.

Cremation will follow the visitation.

Friends may meet with the family on Saturday January 14, 2017 from 5-7:00 pm at White Funeral Home located at 921 W. 45th Avenue Griffith. A celebration of Max's life will be held immediately following the visitation at the American Legion Brunswick Post 485, 7485 Burr Street, Schererville, IN.

Max retired from Ford Motor Company in 2005 after 40+ years of service.  He was a graduate of Griffith High School Class of 1965, a Vietnam War Army Veteran and an avid Chicago Bears and Cubs fan.  Max also loved the outdoors, old tractors, playing cards, and hanging out with his friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the family.
