Maurice J. Campbell Jr., age 74 of Griffith, passed away on Thursday, January 17, 2013. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Margo; children: Mark (Becky) Campbell of Boone Grove and Christine Campbell of Griffith; grandchildren: Cheyenne and Chase; brother, Arthur (Bobbie) Campbell of TN; sister, Margaret Campbell of Highland; numerous nieces and nephews; brother-in-law, James Griggs of KY. Preceded in death by his parents: Maurice and Catherine; sisters: Carol Kroll and Barbara Ambrose; and by his nephew, Jason Campbell. Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 21, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church located at 525 N. Broad St. in Griffith with Father Theodore Mens Celebrating. Burial will follow at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens, Schererville. Friends may meet with the family on Sunday, January 20, 2013 from 3:00-8:00 p.m. at White Funeral Home located at 921 W. 45th Ave. Griffith, IN. Maurice was a member of the OPCMIA Local #692 Area 165 for 56 years and Masons Pension Board Local 692 for 35 years. He was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church and was the original "Corn Man" at St. Mary Western Days.
