Mary Rose Monzek age 87 of Highland passed away on Friday, May 23, 2014. She is survived by her children: Darla (Dennis) Dugan, Ric (Tina) Monzek, Paulette (Michael) Ball, Phil Monzek and Charlie Monzek; nine grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren, one great great grandson; and brother, Mac (Lori) Sakal. Preceded in death by her parents: Joseph and Ruth Sakal; husband, Paul; and by her sisters: Renee and Lois Ann. Funeral services will be held on Thursday May 29, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at St. James Catholic Church with Fr. Keith Virus celebrating. Entombment will follow at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens in Schererville. Friends may meet with the family on Wednesday May 28, 2014 from 3:00-8:00 p.m. at White Funeral Home located at 921 W. 45th Ave. in Griffith. There will be a wake service on Wednesday afternoon at 3:30 p.m. Mary was a member of St. James Catholic Church and was very active with the Highland Democratic Organization.
