Mary R. Kowalik (nee Pataky) age of 83 of Hammond passed away on Thursday December 15, 2016.

She is survived by her daughter Michele (John) Knazur; grandson Jon Knazur; granddaughter Lauren Knazur;  brothers George (Phyllis) Pataky, John (Carolyn) Pataky; brother-in-law Fred (Regina) Kowalik, and by her sister-in-law Diane Pataky.

She is preceded in death by her husband Robert Kowalik and brother Andrew Pataky.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday December 21, 2106 at 10:00 am at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church located at 6525 Kentucky Avenue in Hammond, with Fr. Charles Mosley celebrating. Burial will follow at St. John-St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Hammond.

Friends may meet with the family on Tuesday December 20th from 3:00pm-9:00pm at White Funeral Home located at 921 W. 45th Avenue in Griffith.

Mary was a longtime member of St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church in Hammond.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to the family for a special fund set up in Mary's name at the St. Albertine Home in Hammond.
