Mary Ann (nee Ligda) Procopio was born in Gary, Indiana on March 30, 1937 and returned home to her Lord on June 19, 2018. She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Leonard. She is also survived by her children:  Rebecca (Kenneth) Didat, John (Sueanne) Procopio and Theresa Procopio. Grandchildren: Alex, Kyle, and Ryan Didat; siblings Bernie Yakovetz and John (Carole) Ligda. Mary Ann was a longtime parishioner of St. Mary Catholic Church in Griffith and was well-known for her Italian beef sandwiches for the Western Days Festival. She dearly loved her family, animals, plants & nature, music, and her God. Friends may meet with the family on Friday June 22, 2018 from 4-8 pm at White Funeral Home located at 921 W. 45th Ave. Griffith, IN 46319. An afternoon wake service will be held at 5:00 pm on Friday. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday June 23, 2018 at 10:00 am directly at St. Mary Catholic Church located at 525 N. Broad Street, Griffith, IN 46319 with Fr.
