Mary L. Underwood age 77 of Griffith passed away on Monday March 13, 2017.

She is survived by her husband of 58 years Rich; children Richard (Carla) Underwood, Diana (Jeff) Underwood-Gregg; grandchildren Jordan, Chad (Lauren), Justin (fiancé Cassie), Anne and Aidan; also by her siblings Betty (John) Cooke, Jack (Pat) Laramie, Robert (Rhea) Laramie, Ray (Sharon) Laramie, Ralph (Carol) Laramie and Patricia (Bob) Mareachem.

She is preceded in death by her parents Ralph and Marie Laramie, and by her sister Dorothy Gray.

Funeral Services will be held on Thursday March 16th at 1:00pm at White Funeral Home located at 921 W. 45th Avenue Griffith Indiana  with her son Richard officiating. A private burial will be held at Calumet Park Cemetery in Merrillville.

Friends may meet with the family on Thursday March 16th from 10:00am -1:00pm  and from 5:00pm-7:00pm at White Funeral Home.

Mary is retired from Walgreens after 26 years. She loved crocheting and reading Mystery novels.
