Marjorie J. Shearer age 93 of Highland, passed away on Thursday December 5, 2013. She is survived by her children: Marlene Parker, James (Linda) Shearer, and Karen (Melvin) Blair; grandchildren: Tamera (David) Kepple, David Parker, Tanya Parker, Paul (Lisa) Shearer, Todd (Joellen) Shearer, James Shearer, Renee (Phillip) Sawyer, and Timothy Blair. 11 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren and by her brother Richard Underwood. She was preceded in death by her parents Charles and Olive Underwood, husband Edward Marlin, grandson John Parker, and by her siblings Dorothy Estrada, Virgil Underwood, Charles Underwood, Burdett Underwood, and Lois McCellan. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday December 10, 2013 at 10:00am at White Funeral Home with Rev. Jose Burgos officiating. Burial will follow at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens in Schererville. Friends may meet with the family on Monday December 9th from 3:00-8:00pm at White Funeral Home located at 921 W. 45th Ave. in Griffith. Marjorie was retired from Community Hospital as a cook and she enjoyed cooking and taking care her family.
