Marion P. Srakovcic age 58 of East Chicago, passed away on Friday, May 30, 2014.

He is survived by his sisters: Ann (late Karl) Listar of Griffith, Mary Ann ( late Leo) Maggi of Griffith; nieces and nephew: Carol (Paul) Jacobs, Michele (Mike Lucero) Maggi; Christopher (Amanda) Srakovcic, Veronica Srakovcic, five great nieces, and one great great nephew; brother-in-law Valentine Novinc; friend, Maria Montalvo and family.

Marion was preceded in death by his parents, Ivan and Caroline Srakovcic; brother, George, and sister, Charlene Novinc.

Memorial services will be held on Wednesday June 4, 2014 at 11:00am at St. Mary Catholic Church located at 525 N. Broad St. in Griffith, with Fr. Theodore Mens celebrating. Inurnment will follow at Calumet Park Cemetery in Merrillville, IN.

Marion was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Griffith. He retired from East Chicago Public Schools, and was a former employee at Blah Knox.
