Marianne T. Ignas age 82 of Hammond passed away on Monday November 21, 2016.

She is survived by her children: William (Christina) Ignas, Josephine (Jeffrey Parry) Garcia, Ralph (Beverly) Ignas and Mary (Paul) McFarland

13 Grandchilden, 19 Great Grandchildren

Siblings: Virginia Sterling, Robert (Marian) Schumm and numerous nieces and nephews.

Marianne was preceded in death by her parents William and Sofia Schumm, son Joseph and by her significant other Edward Birmingham.

Funeral services will be held on Monday November 28, 2016 at 10:00 am directly at St. John Bosco Catholic Church located at 7113 Columbia Avenue Hammond, IN with Father Richard Orlinski celebrating.

Burial will follow at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens in Schererville, IN.

Friends may meet with the family on Sunday November 27th from 4 – 8:00 pm at White Funeral Home located 921 W. 45th Avenue Griffith, IN.

Marianne was retired from Southmoor Apartments (office bookkeeper). She has been a longtime supporter of ASPCA, and she loved reading, playing Pinochle, and cooking.
