Marianne L. Grimmer age 79 of Highland, passed away on Tuesday February 28, 2017.

She is survived by her children: Karl (Becky) Grimmer, Christine (Lawrence) Dora, and Frederick (Nancy) Grimmer; 13 Grandchildren Karl M. Grimmer Jr., Justin (Terese) Grimmer, Rachel (Brad) Bassick, Stephen (Angi) Dora, Jonathan (Kelli) Dora, Caitlin Dora, Erik (Christine) Grimmer, Matthew (Gail) Grimmer, Jay (Tina) Grimmer, Lisa (Nick) Velarde, Jessica Schlegel,  Brynn Schlegel, and Nicholas Schlegel;18 great grandchildren; siblings Karl (Elaine) Gottschlich, Peter (Celine) Gottschlich, and Rudy Gottschlich.

Marianne was preceded in death by her parents Karl and Maria  Gottschlich, her husband Gerard and by her brother Fritz (Hebi) Gottschlich.

Funeral services will be held on Friday March 3, 2017 at 9:45 am at White Funeral Home and a Mass at 10:30 am at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church located at 3025 Highway Avenue in Highland, IN,  with Father Edward Moszur celebrating.

Burial will follow at St. John/St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Hammond.

Friends may meet with the family on Thursday March 2, 2017 from 2-8:00 pm at White Funeral Home located at 921 W. 45th Avenue in Griffith.  An afternoon prayer service will be held at 4:30 pm on Thursday.

Marianne was a member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church in Highland, the Bishop Noll 49ers, and the Golden Times.
