Marian Kukral, 93, of Highland, passed away Jan. 15th at Hartsfield Village in Munster. She was born in East Chicago, In.  to Mary Sontum Allen and George Allen. Marian Graduated from Roosevelt University in Chicago with a degree in Social Services. She worked for 3 years as a Social Worker in Dayton, Ohio.  She then returned home and worked as a librarian at the East Chicago Library until she met and married her husband, Charles Kukral.  They later moved to Highland where they had two sons, Frederick and Jonathon. Marian was preceded in death by her husband, her son, Jonathon, her sister, Ann Mandel. Marian was a member of the 1st Presbyterian Church in Highland and made many good friends there. She later joined the Catholic Church, which she had thought about doing for many years. She was a sweet natured, considerate woman who was well liked and was a very good mother. Marian is survived by her son Fred of Kokomo, in  and stepsons Donald Kukral  of Hammond, And Charles R. Kukral of National Park, N.J., nieces, Carole  Robidoux of Nashua, N.H. , And Jean McBryar of Levittown, Pa.  And many loving friends. She was a cat fancier and always had a cat or two and loved feeding the birds. She also loved flowers. Visitation is from 3 til 7 PM Tues. Jan. 20th at White Funeral Home 921 W. 45th Ave. Griffith.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated by Rev. Edward Moszur at 10:30 AM Wed.Jan. 21 ^st at Our Lady of Grace Church 3025 Highway Ave. Highland, IN.
