MARGRET JO ARNOLD (NEE EVANS) GARY, IN Margret Jo Arnold (nee Evans), 75, of Gary made her journey home to heaven surrounded by her family on June 17, 2012. Marge was born May 18, 1937. She is survived by her children: Billy (Beverly) Arnold, Virgil (Susan) Arnold, Rebecca Splitgerber, Dorris (Bobby) Owensby, Mary (Paul) White, and Janice Arnold; loving grandmother to her 14 grandchildren and their spouses; proud "G.G." to her 22 great grandchildren. Marge leaves behind her sisters: Helen (John) Haynes, Mary Vaux, Wanda Swantko, Regina (Elmo) Mitchell, Rhonda Baker; and brother, Randy Baker; many nieces and nephews; and an abundance of dear friends. She was reunited in heaven with the love of her life, Billie "Red" Arnold and her "other half", Duane Hayes. Also preceded in death by her brothers: James Evans, Carl Evans, and Norman Evans. Marge enjoyed fishing and relaxing by the St. Joe's River bank. Her stories were always full of laughter and lessons. She valued family and instilled the importance of that in her children, grandchildren and their families. Her strong will and heart will live on in the lives of her family. Friends and loved ones may visit at White Funeral Home located at 921 W. 45th Avenue, Griffith, IN on Wednesday June 20, 2012 from 3:00-8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 21, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at White Funeral Home with Pastor Shawn Cornett officiating.
