MARGARITA B. CHAVEZ CROWN POINT, IN Margarita B. Chavez, age 81, of Crown Point passed away Thursday May 17, 2012. She is survived by her children: Diane (Robert) Salcedo, Eloisa (Rodney) Palmateer, John (Paula) Chavez; grandchildren: Christopher, Nickolas, Michael, Chrystal, and Alicia; great grandchildren: Aubree, Cadance, Savien, Elisa, Julius and Bella; brothers: Isauro Aguilar, Ramon Aguilar, and Gustavo Aguilar; sisters: Obdulia Alonso, Catalina Garcia, Eloisa Valenzuela and Yolanda Salazar. Preceded in death by her husband: John Chavez; parents: Hermeno and Petra P. de Aguilar; and brother, Miguel Aguilar Funeral services will be held Tuesday, May 22, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Michael the Archangel Church in Schererville with Fr. Martin Dobrzynski celebrating. Burial will follow at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens in Schererville. Friends may meet with the family on Monday, May 21, 2012 at 4:00-8:00 p.m. at White Funeral Home located at 921 W. 45th Avenue, Griffith. Wake service will be held at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Margarita was a member of St. Michael the Archangel Church in Schererville and St. Mary Church of Griffith. She enjoyed cooking and watching the birds.
