Margaret Piorkowski age 95 of Highland formerly of East Chicago, passed away on Monday, January 6, 2014.

She is survived by her sons: James (Alida) Piorkowski of Munster and Alan Piorkowski of Highland; daughter: Denise Piorkowski of Highland; grandchildren: Michael (Eben) Piorkowski and Christine Piorkowski

She was preceded in death by her parents Joseph and Margaret Mazalan; husband Joseph; brothers: Joseph, Stephan, Stanley, John, Paul, Albert, George; and sister: Ann.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, January 14, 2014 at 10:00am at St James Catholic Church located at 9640 Kennedy Ave. in Highland, with Fr. Keith Virus celebrating. Burial will follow at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens in Schererville.

Friends may meet with the family on Monday January 13th, from 2:00-8:00pm at White Funeral Home located at 921 W. 45th Ave. in Griffith.

Margaret was a member of St. James Catholic Church.
