Marcelino "Marcy" Galvan age 70 of Portage passed away on Saturday, January 3, 2015

He is survived by his wife of 38 years Ruth;

Children Paulette Ozuna, Michael (Cecila) Galvan, and Erlinda (Victor) Gonzalez;

Grandchildren: Christopher, Stephanie, Cristian, Reina, Gabriel, Brian, Viviana and Victoria.

Great grandchildren: Nevaeh, Christopher Jr. and Jocelyn.

Sisters: Dominga, Lucy, Margaret, Senida, Isidra, Felicitas and numerous nieces and nephews.

Marcy is preceded in death by his parents Cayetano and Erlinda, brothers Colorado, Santos, Juan and by his sister Juana.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 8 ^, 2014 at 10:00am DIRECTLY at St. Mary Catholic Church in Griffith with Fr. Theodore Mens celebrating.

Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery in Hammond, Indiana

Friends may meet with the family on Wednesday, January 7 ^th from 3:00pm-8:00pm at White Funeral Home located at 921 W. 45 ^th Avenue Griffith.

Marcy was retired from Inland Steel after 32 years. He was a Vietnam Army Veteran, member of the Assumption Catholic Church in New Chicago, member of the DOD Honor Guard, American Legion Post 94, VFW #988, and Vietnam Veterans of South Haven. Marcy was also an avid pool player.
