Mabel G. Seren age 88 of DeBary, Florida, formerly of Highland, passed away on Wednesday September 3, 2014.

She is survived by her husband of 69 years: John; children: Patricia (Mike) Riese of Griffith and John Seren Jr. of Waco, TX; grandson Aaron (Kate Reynolds) Riese of Griffith; great grandchildren Jeremy, Matthew, John, Kaleb, and Kolin; sisters Phyllis (Carl) LeTaul and Margie Williams; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Mabel was preceded in death by her parents James and Elmina Blevins, granddaughter LeeAnn, sisters Nancy and Madelin, and by her brother Gene.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday September 10, 2014 at White Funeral Home at10:00am with Rev. James Williams officiating. Entombment will follow at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens in Schererville.

Friends may meet with the family on Tuesday September 9 ^th from 5-8:00pm at White Funeral Home located at 921 W. 45 ^th Ave. in Griffith.

Mabel was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary in DeLand, FL and she was a former employee of Keyes Fiber in Hammond.
