Lillian L. Demeter age 78 of Crown Point, passed away on Wednesday Oct. 31, 2012.She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Joseph; children: Vanesa (Murray) Pierce, Joseph (Kristy) Demeter, and David Demeter, grandchildren: Justin, Josh (Audie), and Alyssa Demeter, Matthew Pierce, Allison and, Jacob Demeter

great grandchild: William Joseph, sisters: Isabell Carlson, Helen (Jay) Lax, Alice (Phil) Kaufman, Carolee (Robert) Novorita, Dorothy Hobson; Brother, Paul Podgorski, sister-in-law, Dorothy Poswilko, her brother-in-law, Bill (Regina) Demeter, and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Monday, November 5, 2012 at 10:00am at St. Mathias Catholic Church located at 101 W. Burrell Dr. Crown Point, IN. with Fr. Jim Wozniak celebrating. Burial will follow at Calumet Park Cemetery, in Merrillville, Indiana. Friends may meet with the Family on Sunday Nov. 4th, from 3-8:00pm at Burns Funeral Home located at 10101 Broadway, in Crown Point, IN.

Lillian was a member of St. Mathias Catholic Church in Crown Point and, a former member of St. Mary Catholic Church, in Griffith. She devoted her life to raising her family and helping others. She had a special gift of making others feel blessed. Lillian's most cherished accomplishment was her family.
