LEVI JOSEPH MERRILL THOMAS MERRILLVILLE, IN Levi Joseph Merrill Thomas, age 16, of Merrillville, passed away Tuesday May 17, 2011. He is survived by his parents: Kenneth and Cynthia Thomas; brothers: Zachary Thomas, Sean Mygrants, and Garrett Mygrants; sister, Caitrina Thomas; grandparents: Robert Wayne and Charlotte Hankla, and Everett and Bernadean Thomas; great grandmother, Vivian Kurts; nephew, Calvin Mygrants; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 21, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at the Bethel Church, 10202 Broadway in Crown Point. There will also be a visitation from 1:00 p.m. until the time of services at the church on Saturday. Burial will be held on Monday May 23, 2011 at Calumet Park Cemetery in Merrillville. Friends may meet with family on Friday May 20, 2011 from 4:00-8:00 p.m. at the White Funeral Home located at 921 W. 45th Avenue, Griffith. Levi loved music, skate boarding, and running sound boards at the Modern Post. He was heavily involved in the music scene and in several bands, Region Rats, Useless, Wasted Effort and Chizopanic. Levi put on many vocal shows and hosted concerts to raise money for Pakistani flood victims, animal shelters and to help open a community center.
