Leverne L. "Vern" Fisch, age 88, of Griffith, passed away on Saturday, July 15, 2023. He is survived by his children: Brenda Ghiotto, Mike (Michele) Fisch, Rob (Linda) Fisch, and Kelly (Junior) Bacon; grandchildren: Crystal (Lenny), Nicole (Luke), Megan, Mike II, Ryan (Paige), Taylor, Sara (Jacob) and Zack; and 7 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents Norman and Ethel; his wife Martha; and his brother Ron.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday, July 21, 2023, at 10:00 AM at White Funeral Home, located at 921 W. Glen Park (45th) Ave. Griffith, Indiana 46319 with Pastor bob Parnell officiating. Burial will follow at Calumet Park Cemetery in Merrillville, Indiana. Friends may meet with the family on Thursday, July 20, 2023, from 2:00 PM until 7:00 PM at White Funeral Home.

Vern retired from NIPSCO after 38 years of service.  He was a member of the American Legion Post 66 in Griffith.  He was a diehard Chicago White Sox Fan.  He was a former very active manager/coach with Griffith Girls Softball. Vern loved fishing, camping and anything outdoors. He enjoyed watching Western movies, Price is Right and Let's Make a Deal game shows.  He also enjoyed going to the casinos.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be given to the American Legion Post 66 in Griffith.
