Katherine R. (Schreiber) Leonard age 90 of Griffith passed away on Tuesday, August 5, 2014.

She is survived by William her husband of 68 years.

9 daughters, Lauren (Vincent) Sudeta of West Point, NE, Rosemary of Griffith, Roberta (John) Gettler of Crown Point, Kathleen (Dennis) Maloney of Palm Harbor, FL., Anna (Daniel) Knaver of Crown Point, Mary (James) Bohney of Mooresville, IN., Susan Bujna of Indianapolis, Jeanne (Daniel) Ritari of Big Lake, MI., Nancy (Louis) Kesthely of Olymbia, WA., 3 sons Lawrence (Paula) of New Lenox, IL., Thomas (Mary) of Burr Ridge, IL., and John of Madison, WI. 2 brothers Kenneth (Theresa) Schreiber of Mena, AR., and Joseph Schreiber of Cape Coral, FL.; 38 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren.

Preceded in death by parents William and Afra (Schuster) Schreiber and Sister Mary Thiel.

Mrs. Leonard, a longtime member of St. Mary Parish, in Griffith, was active in various religious formation programs and was a Eucharistic Minister.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Monday, August 11 ^th at 10:00a.m., preceded by a morning visitation at 9:00 a.m. at St. Mary Church, 525 N. Broad Street in Griffith

with Fr. Theodore Mens officiating.

Burial will follow at Holy Name Cemetery in Cedar Lake, IN.

Friends are invited to meet with the family on Sunday, August 10 ^th from 2:00pm to 8:00pm at White Funeral Home located at 921 W. 45 ^th Avenue (Glen Park Ave.) Griffith, ½ mile West of Cline Ave.
