Obituary

Julia Sandoval, age 95, of East Chicago, IN passed away on Monday, October 28, 2013.
She was born in Salamanca Guanajuato, Mexico but lived all her life in East Chicago, IN.
Julia became a citizen of the United States of America on September 24, 2004 at the age of 86 years old.
She is survived by her children: Connie (Jesus) Salinas of Roma, Texas, Rose (Frank) Borjas of East Chicago, IN, Lydia (Raymond) Lopez of East Chicago, IN, Martin (Lydia) Sandoval of Chesterton, IN, John (Francis) Sandoval of Hammond, IN, Mary Louis (Oscar) Santos of Munster, IN; grandchildren: Denise, Ray JR. (Elena), Michael (Cindy), Anthony (Beth), Frank (Rosalinda), Debra (David) , Tina, Natalie (Scott), Stephanie, Martin (Rachel), John (Erica), Angie, Nichole (Adam); great grandchildren: RayIII, Serena, Ian (Carrie), Given, Breanna, Will, Danny, Lauren, Julia, Joaquin, David, Jessica, Alejandra, Robert, Michael, Ricky, Vanessa, Sofiya, Lexie and Christian; siblings: Mary, Frank (Angela), Florence (Joe), Annie, and Richard; and by many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents Esiquio and Louisa Morales; brother: Manuel; sisters:Jenny and Susie; and grandson: Patrick Henley.
Funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 2, 2013, at 10:00a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe, located at, 3510 Deodar St. in East Chicago, IN, with Fr. Pat Gaza celebrating. Burial will follow at St. John Cemetery, in Hammond, IN.
Friends may meet with the family on Friday, November 1, 2013, from 2p.m. until 8p.m. at White Funeral Home, located at 921 W, 45th Ave. in Griffith, IN.

Julia loved to cook and always kept her tradition of cooking Mexican dishes. She enjoyed her music, the blues, and Jazz. She loved reading and loved her flowers. Julia was a giving and loving person. Most of all Julia loved her children, grandchildren, and family. Her legacy is her daughters and sons. Her advice was to be happy and live a happy life and to go see your mother. she always blessed you. Most of all she will be missed by all her family and all who knew and loved her.
