Judith "Judy" Ellen Morris-Clark (nee Bermingham) died Wednesday afternoon on February 3, 2016 from Alzheimer's Disease. She was at home in Griffith and had been surrounded by her family since Monday, which is as she would have wanted it. She was born on February 20, 1945. She would have been 71 this month.

She is survived by her husband Alan Clark, her four daughters Michelle (Bert) Baccino, Suzanne (Jeff) Reitz, Melissa (Troy) Lolkema, and Christen (Chris) Linders, two step daughters Jill (Joe) Pitt, and Allison Clark, her brothers Tom (Sandy), Tim (Ellen), Denny (Sharon), Keith (Elsie), Brad Lee, and sister in law Janice,  seventeen grand children Matthew, Hillary Mallory and John Baccino,Lauren (James) Wernes, Jeffrey, Mia, Taylor, and Ben Reitz, Troy, Skylar and Vaughn Lolkema, and Camryn, Carleigh, and Callie Linders,Ilana Pitt, Grace Wozny. Five great grand children, Lennon, Leona, Ruby, Audrey, and Judah, her honorary granddaughter Makenzi, and countless nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, cousins, and other family and friends. She is preceded in death by her brothers Pat and Kevin, sister Debbie, and her parents.

Judy grew up in Lansing IL and graduated from Thornton Fractional High School. She moved to Griffith IN in 1971 and it has been her home ever since. Judy loved Griffith and was very involved in the community. She was a girl scout leader, a room parent, participated in the softball league, and attended all manner of high school sports for her grandchildren. She was well known around town and loved by all. She enjoyed attending all the festivals and events held there, and knew so many people wherever she went. If she didn't know anyone when she got there, she did by the time she left. She was often seen riding her tandem bike in her neighborhood or walking her dogs.  Her family was her greatest joy. She spent as much time as possible with her friends, neighbors, and family. She was very proud of her children and grand children and talked about about them to anyone who would listen, often sharing pictures as well. She was deeply involved with Griffith Lutheran Church, and served as an elder there. She loved helping with vacation bible school, and the Christmas plays. She was also an enthusiastic greeter and a frequent visitor to shut ins and enjoyed visiting people in the hospital and being there for people in the time of their passing. Judy owned a coffee shop called The Daily Perk in Highland IN where she spent her days serving excellent coffee and food and even better company. Many of her patrons quickly became family to her. She only closed to stay home and take care of her brother until his death because that was who she was. She made holidays an event, she was always decorating, baking cookies, hosting Easter egg hunts, and of course cooking corned beef and cabbage for St. Patrick's day. She loved to dance, sing, talk to people, and to live life to its fullest extent each and every day. She was a Cubs fan, and a Panther fan and cheered loudly at every game. She was the kindest most compassionate person. She didn't know a stranger, she took people in and made them family. She loved hard and was never afraid to show it.

Friends are invited to visit with Judy's family at White Funeral Home , 921 W 45 ^th Ave ., Griffith IN, from 2:00 pm. - 8:00 pm. on Sunday, February 7, 2016. Funeral services will be held on Monday, February 8, 2016 at 10:00 a.m.at Griffith Lutheran Church, 1000 N Broad Street, Griffith, IN. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family or to The Alzheimer's Association Greater Indiana Chapter.
