Josephine M. Wachowski age 96 of Griffith, passed away on Thursday October 22, 2015. She is survived by her children: Henry (Rose) Wachowski Jr, Robert (Lana) Wachowski, Pat (Bob) Edgerton, Joe (Judy) Wachowski, and Tom Wachowski; 17 Grandchildren, 43 Great Grandchildren, and 6 Great-Great Grandchildren and by numerous nieces and nephews. Josephine was preceded in death by her parents Andrew and Mary Toczek, husband Henry Sr, daughter Judi Chandler, and by her siblings George, Mary, Stephie, Stanley, Bruno, Walter and stepfather George Kielian. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday October 27, 2015 at 10:00am directly at St. Mary Catholic Church located at 525 N. Broad St. in Griffith with Fr. Theodore Mens celebrating. Burial will follow at Calumet Park Cemetery in Merrillville. Friends may meet with the family on Monday October 26th from 3-8:00pm at White Funeral Home located at 921 W. 45th Ave. in Griffith. There will be an afternoon Prayer service at 4:30pm on Monday. Josephine was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church and the Altar and Rosary Society. She loved gardening and taking care of her family.
