Josephine Mata age 67 of Portage, the most loving, amazing, selfless, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend passed away on Friday, December 2 2016.

She is survived by her children Ronald Mata Jr., Josephine Ramos (Marcus Salazar), Robert Rene (Delores) Mata, stepdaughter Stephanie (Marco) Gonzalez. Grandchildren Ronald Mata III, Valerie Abeyta, Vanessa Mata, Christopher Ramos, Veronica Mata, Robert Rene Mata Jr., Amber Mata, Lauren Salazar, Melina Mata and 6 great grandchildren.

She is also survived by her sister Norma (Rudy) Rios, brother George Saldana, Ex-Husband Ronald (Stella) Mata Sr. and God-daughter Veronica Rios.

She was preceded in death by her parents Ciro and Rosa Saldana, sister Rosa Bueno, grandson Michael Anthony Espinoza and family friend Robert Washington.

Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday December 6th at 10:00am at White Funeral Home located at 921 W. 45th Avenue in Griffith, with Mario Blanco officiating. Cremation to follow services.

Friends may meet with the family on Monday, December 5th from 4:00-8:00pm at White Funeral Home.
