John R. Umfleet, age 78 of Griffith, passed away on Monday, December 22, 2014.

He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Pauline Umfleet.

Children: Judith (Mickey Hobson) Umfleet, Jeanne (Randall) Potter, Joanne (Joe) Dansereau, Janet (Steve) Kinney, Cynthia (David) Bugno and Michael Campbell.

13 Grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.

Preceded in death by his parents Ishmael and Mabel Umfleet and 3 brothers.

Friends may meet with the family on Saturday, December 27 from 2-8:00PM at White Funeral Home located at 921 W. 45 ^th Street, Griffith.

He was retired from Illiana Transit Warehouse, and was a Marine Veteran of the Korean War.

John enjoyed camping, fishing and spending time with his grandchildren.
