JOHN D. KENNEDY, SR. HIGHLAND, IN John D. Kennedy, Sr., age 61, of Highland passed away on Wednesday June 1, 2011. John is survived by his children: John David (Maribeth) Kennedy, Jr. and Brian (June) Kennedy; grandchildren: Brooke, Lauren, Jake, Joe and Jania; mother, Emma Kennedy; sister, Helen (James) Kennedy-Busch; and numerous nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his many American Legion Post 66 friends. Burial will be private at Elmwood Cemetery in Hammond. Friends may meet with the family on Sunday, June 5, 2011 from 1:00-4:00 p.m. at White Funeral Home located at 921 W. 45th Avenue, Griffith, IN. John was a member of the American Legion Post 66 S.A.L.
